1. Scope of Service
Mendago is a digital platform that facilitates connections between independent local service providers (eg. plumbers, mason, mechanics) and potential customers. Mendago acts solely as an intermediary and does not provide these services directly.
2. No-Fee Policy & Payments
Platform Usage: The app is free for users to browse and contact service providers.
Off-Platform Transactions: Mendago does not facilitate, process, or record any financial transactions.
Direct Payment: All financial dealings occur directly between the user and the service provider. Users are strictly advised not to send or receive money through any interface claiming to be Mendago.
3. Limitation of Liability (The "Use at Your Own Risk" Clause)
Financial Loss: Mendago is not responsible for any loss of money, fraud, or unsatisfactory service resulting from a connection made on the app.
Verification: While we strive to list legitimate providers, users are responsible for verifying the credentials, licenses, and background of any service provider before hiring them.
Damages: Mendago shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform.
4. Data Privacy & User Conduct
Data Protection: We do not sell user information to third parties.
Personal Information: Users are instructed not to share sensitive personal data (such as Aadhaar numbers, bank OTPs, or private addresses) within the app's public or chat features.
Prohibited Activities: Any use of the app for illegal activities, harassment, or spreading misinformation is strictly prohibited.
5. Compliance with Indian Law
Usage of Mendago is governed by the laws of India.
Legal Liability: Any user or service provider found engaging in illegal acts will be solely liable under the Information Technology Act (IT Act) and the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Jurisdiction: Any legal disputes arising from the use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
6. Modifications to Terms
Mendago reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
